Marriage Mentoring Matters

Join us on Sundays starting Jan. 8, 2012 at 4pm

Marriages that are centered on God and in harmony are a beautiful thing and an inspiration to others. Just as iron sharpens iron, we are seeking marriages from all walks of life, and stages maturity and development to strengthen each other.

We will discuss how to affair-proof your marriage, what kind of family you come from and how it’s affecting your marriage, how men and women are truly made different and how they think. The format is educational, includes some videos and book, and encourages participation and questions. Bring a notebook and be prepared to laugh.

The facilitators are Dave and Kerry Jenkins. They have been marriage for 20 years, provided foster care and respitecare for multiple children and are rearing four children of their own. Dave earned his Doctorate of Ministry in Family Therapy and is licensed by the states of New York and Missouri as a marriage and family therapist. He has been the
primary speaker for marriage retreats, men’s retreats and parenting seminars. Dave is supported by Kerry, the master organizer and event planner. She expertly manages
the household and behind-the-scenes as a stay-at-home mom. She has volunteered countless hours as a military community mayor.

Goal:  Minister,
encourage, and teach couples to include God as their marriage covenant partner by offering marriage mentors, small groups, marital classes, marriage retreats, pre-marital classes and community events. We believe our ministry should reach beyond the boundaries of the church and into the community.

Aim:  Embolden couples to develop a passion for marriage through personal spiritual growth within a community of believers, accountability with others, and application of the Scriptures in our daily life.

Vision:  Eliminate divorce within the body of believers by building, strengthening, and restoring marriage through biblical teachings and principles.
