What is "Interactive Communion?"
Jesus and his apostles partook of the Passover on the night that Jesus was arrested in the garden. The events of this Passover are recorded in Matthew 26:17-35, Mark 14:12-31, Luke 22:7-38, and John 13:1-17:26. During this Passover, where Jesus institutes the Lord's Supper, Jesus and His apostles are sitting around a table eating, drinking, and talking.
In Acts 20:7-12, Paul is ministering in Troas and the Bible says that on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul spoke with them until midnight. After a man named Eutychus fell out of a window and died, Paul brought him back to life and "when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak, he departed."
In these examples, we see that partaking of the Lord's Supper also included discussion amongst those in attendance. Our interactive communion period is a time where we can partake of communion proclaiming the Lord's death until He comes while also engaging with each other in conversation.
